A weekly review in Obsidian with LifeOS

A weekend reconstruction of the whole week is the usual failure. LifeOS reads tasks, daily notes, and theme tags that already exist. The illustrated case, including the project-progress format, stays at Weekly review. This page is the entry.

Before you start

You need notes from the week. An empty vault has nothing to review. Where projects live in PARA is in the PARA essay. A one-person-company dashboard is a different rhythm; the Chinese OPC essay is at OPC CEO dashboard.

Four steps

  1. Open the weekly note. Filter completed tasks in the task view, or reread checkboxes in daily notes. Look for work that moved a goal, chores, and tasks that keep returning.
  2. Open theme notes that changed. The case page uses progress, risk, and next action. Follow that page for the format.
  3. Split unfinished work into continue, defer, and drop. Do not move every open task to next week.
  4. Write one next action you will place on the calendar. Views are in Eisenhower, kanban, and timeline.

Calendar

The review reads Markdown. Phone alerts are optional and configured in CalDAV.

The task workspace used by the case is part of LifeOS Pro. The community edition can still hold a weekly note. The split is in Free vs Pro.

This page does not state a completion rate.
